Boikhutso Tselapedi, a 31-year-old mother of four from Sondela near Rustenburg, is making waves as a Top 30 semi-finalist in the Miss Rustenburg 2026 pageant.

With a diploma in law, Boikhutso leverages her educational background to tackle pressing issues affecting her community, including teenage pregnancy, alcohol abuse and drug abuse.

Her passion for creating positive change is inspiring, and she’s using her platform to speak out and make a difference.

Boikhutso is on a mission to empower the youth. As a semi-finalist in Miss Rustenburg 2026, she’s using her platform to create awareness about critical issues affecting young people, including teenage pregnancy and alcohol abuse.

Her goal is to be a voice for the youth, helping them make informed decisions and navigate life’s challenges. With her law background, Boikhutso brings a unique perspective to these conversations, inspiring and educating her peers.

By sharing her story and message, Boikhutso hopes to spark positive change and support young people in making choices that shape their futures.

“We need young women in power, we need to stand tall, and be heard, we need to be empowered as young people,” said the 31-year-old.

She said she loves this platform because is was different from what people might imagine a pageant to be. “It’s more of an empowerment platform, helping young women even culturally embracing your diversity.”

“It’s not just like a beauty pageant, like cat-walking and what people would think, so it’s different from other pageants.

“It’s a very uplifting platform, especially for young women.”

“I’ve always been passionate about pageantry,” she said.

“But what excites me the most is using this journey to show younger people that their dreams are valid. I want them to understand that their environment does not define who they are or what they can achieve. With hard work, anything is possible.”

Through her journey, she has transformed, learning to embrace not just her beauty but her voice.
“It’s been an incredible growth experience,” she reflected. “Pageantry has taught me to be articulate, confident, and empathetic. It’s made me realize that I have a responsibility to use my platform to give back—to make a difference and put smiles on people’s faces.”

Boikhutso ’s love for charity work runs deep, and it’s something she is eager to expand on through the competition.

“I’ve always believed in the power of giving back. This platform allows me to touch more lives and help those who are struggling. For me, it’s not about winning—it’s about what I can do with this opportunity to make an impact.”

As she prepares for the competition, she is feeling a mix of excitement, stress, and anticipation, but her family’s support keeps her grounded.

“I’m looking forward to meeting new people and creating lasting memories. But the best part is knowing that I’m not doing this alone. My family is with me every step of the way.”

Boikhutso said winning the title would be a dream come true, not for personal gain but rather for community growth.
