Disele Johannes Phologane well-known as DJ from Bakubung Ba Ratheo tribal officer in Ledig Village was arrested on 25/02/2025 for Contravention of a protection order. Its reported that Kgosi Solomon Monnakgotla had obtained a protection order against him.
He was supposed to appear before Mogwase Magistrates Court on Thursday 27 February for bail application however the matter was a nolle prosequi.
Sivenathi Gunya, North West National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said the matter was not enrolled but declined by the Prosecutor because there was no prima facie case.
“Defective order in the Protection Order and no proof of service on accused. The matter will be taken up with court issuing the order.”
He further said an Instruction was given for investigation.
“Once the investigation is done, the NPA will revisit its decision.”
