A group of workers from the North West Transport Investment (NTI) staged a silent protest at the ANC 114 birthday rally in Moruleng.
The group held posters inside the Moruleng stadium asking for their pension money and salaries to be paid.
“Save NTI jobs” read one poster.
Another read:” Pay our provident fund”.
The group seated in the eastern side of the stadium managed to attract the attention of journalists, towards the end of the main programme.
NTI has been under business rescue since 2022
The North West Legislature Portfolio Committee on Community Safety and Transport Management, will resume its public hearings into the affairs of the North West Transport Investment on 16 January 2026.

The committee will proceed with issuing summons to Thomas Sammons, Business Rescue Practitioner (BRP 1), the directors of Triponza, Ziggy Investments, and TansNat (NTI service providers), Abel Kenoshi, former chief financial officer of NTI.
Committee chairperson Freddy Sonakile said the individuals who have been summoned are expected to account for a range of governance, financial management, and operational issues currently under investigation by the committee.
A central concern for the committee has been the ongoing problems related to the payment of NTI workers’ salaries.
NTI workers staged pickets in Mahikeng as well as at the ANC General Council in Boksburg in December last year.
