<\/div>Sheila Kgomotso Mabale-Huma is a seasoned leader and the Executive Mayor of the Rustenburg Local Municipality in the North West province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a strong background in programme management, budget administration, and public relations, she has worked her way to the top through the ranks.

<\/div>Mabale-Huma is well-qualified, holding a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Pretoria, a BA degree in Psychology from Vista University, and a Higher Diploma in Education from Vista University. Her extensive experience in working with the public, town council, and departmental leaders has equipped her with the skills to execute strategic visions that take Rustenburg forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>As an experienced politician, she has a strong track record of leadership. She began her political journey as the branch secretary of the ANC Youth League in Modikoe and went on to serve in various capacities, including member of the SA Student Congress and the North West provincial executive committee of the ANC Youth League.
<\/div>Elected as a Proportional Representative (PR) councillor in Rustenburg since December 5, 2000, the Mayor has served in various roles, including Single Whip, Speaker, and ultimately, Executive Mayor, a position she has held since the 2021 municipal elections. She has also been an active member of the SA Local Government Association (Salga) in the North West, serving on various committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>Through her leadership and dedication, she continues to drive Rustenburg forward, leveraging her expertise and experience to address the needs of her community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>As a leader, she has emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication, stating that her administration will work without fear or favor to address the challenges facing the community. Her commitment to community development and economic growth has been evident in the municipality’s efforts to engage with residents and stakeholders to identify solutions to local challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>Through her initiatives and vision, Mayor Sheila Mabale-Huma is working to make Rustenburg a better place for its residents and a popular destination for tourists.
