Neo’s story began in 2023 when he left his role as Area Manager to pursue his business dreams. “I have always wanted to start my own business, and over the years, I have told myself I will continue to learn business administration and save money to start,” he said. However, he couldn’t wait any longer and took the leap, leveraging the opportunities in his community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“When I arrived home, I began to use the provident benefits funds to build apartments for leasing as my first project. The following year, in March, I began my second project, which is a restaurant and currently still in progress,” Neo explained.Despite facing challenges, such as limited funding due to age restrictions, Neo remains determined. “Getting funding is one of the challenges I face, as I am above the age requirement for funding programs and do not want to take loans at an early age of my business,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neo’s vision is vast, and he’s committed to creating employment opportunities and contributing to the local economy. “I will be able to employ a minimum of four people when we are at full capacity and in full operation,” he said.He urges the government to reconsider age limits for funding programs and create support systems for emerging entrepreneurs. “Increase the age limit for business funding programs or create a program specific to the business aiming to grow and employ youth in our communities,” he suggested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neo’s advice to young entrepreneurs is to start small, build sustainably, and prioritize growth over consumption. “Start with the little you have and don’t wait for the right time too long. Build to grow and not sustain a lifestyle of consumption,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
