Bakubung Primary School in Ledig Village outside Rustenburg embarked on a highly successful Eco-March on Thursday, 15 May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainability in the community while raising funds to refurbish the school’s Grade R playground. The Eco March began at Ledig Global Garage, where participants gathered to embark on a walk through the community, collecting litter and spreading awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The walk culminated at Bakubung Primary School, where stakeholders and learners planted trees and celebrated the achievements of the day.While the walk took place, other stakeholders engaged the school’s Grade R-3 learners in fun-filled sporting activities, ensuring all learners were actively involved and learned about the importance of taking care of the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The march was made possible through the support of various stakeholders, including Sun Village SuperSpar, Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, Moses Kotane Local Municipality, Sun City – Sustainability, Moli & Mela, Bambanani Security Services, LESUMA Taxi Association, DEDECT, Morula Kids Conservation Club, AVBOB Rustenburg, Dento Solutions and many others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
