THE North West Province is overflowing with joy this Christmas. As families gather to celebrate the season, 95 precious babies were born across the province.

The youngest moms aged 16-year-old mom in Bojanala, NMM, and Dr RSM districts.Healthcare teams ensured safe deliveries and top-notch care for mums and babies no matter the time or day!A total of 95 babies (51 boys + 44 girls)- 19 C/S deliveries and 76 NVDs are all safe and healthy.

Matshidiso Mooketsi, a proud mom who welcomed her baby on Christmas Day at Moses Kotane Hospital, is beaming with gratitude. She sends a big thank-you to the amazing staff at Moses Kotane for their incredible care and the lovely gifts she received.She says she’s grateful and commends the staff for the warm service and all the gifts.

Executive Mayor of the Bojanala District Municipality Suzan Dikeledi Nthangeni said they are here as part of our drive to support our hardworking nurses and doctors and the general staff, who have sacrificed their family time to be here and secure lives.

“I want to commend the good work done here by these patriotic men and women who diligently serve the general public.”

She further congratulated these proud mothers for delivering bouncing healthy babies, with no complications reported thus far.

Gloria Mmolawa, CEO of Moses Kotane Hospital said welcoming a new life is a shared joy and responsibility. “The hospital’s initiative to gift new moms is spreading love and making a real difference in the community.”

“We hope these gifts will ease the transition for our new mothers and celebrate the miracle of life during the festive period.” Sounds like the perfect way to add extra sparkle to Christmas.
