GONTSE Molekoe Lucky Da Deejay is a versatile DJ from Phokeng who has had the opportunity to headline numerous events due to her exceptional mixing skills. She started Deejaying/Producing in 2019 and ultimately released her first single in 2021.
By virtue of being a super talented DJ and being in demand, she was featured on an article on Dailysun (2020) and also dished out a super set on Tshwane TV (DStv channel 262).Her exceptional talent fused with great transitions were featured on prominent platforms such as Godfather’s Radio, YouFM, WaterbergFM, TUT FM just to mention a few. In 2024 she won a Resident DJ competition @ Owens Lounge (Randburg). In 2024 she released “Letlhogonolo Ep” which is available on digital platforms for downloading & streaming.
Her rare talent has afforded her an opportunity to play in various provinces in South Africa and was honored to have shared the stages with the likes of Oskido, DJ Sbu, Lamiez Holworthy, LoxionDeep and many other prominent giants in the country.She said her career highlights include Corner Pocket Battle of the DJs (2020) where i scooped 2nd Position Winner. Owens Lounge (Resident DJ Competition Winner in 2024.
Describing her performances, Gontse highlights the variety of events she plays at. “I play at so many different kinds of parties, from clubs to weddings and more. “What I play depends on the type of show and venue, but one thing always stays the same: I love to express myself through music and share my love for music with everyone.”Her sets are as diverse as her audience, blending genres and energy levels to fit the vibe of each event.
Her message is clear as she started very young, “Age is no barrier to success. Gontse encouraged her peers to follow their own dreams, no matter how big or small.”It doesn’t matter how young you are; if you can dream it, you can do it! Believe in yourself, work hard, and never stop shining your unique light.”
