THE prestigious North West Media Awards 2025 were officially launched on Thursday, 29 May 2025, at the Rustenburg Information Centre, marking a new chapter for the province’s premier media recognition platform.
The event also saw the formal introduction of the seven newly appointed Non-Executive Board Members who are expected to steer the awards to greater heights and broaden their impact in the media sector.The North West Media Awards, which honour excellence across various media platforms, will this year be enhanced under the guidance of the new board.
Founder Ananias Ndlovu said, “We’ve introduced a few strategic changes to ensure inclusivity and high standards. Notably, all nominated work must have been produced between July 2024 and June 2025, and entrants must have been operational from January 2025 or earlier.”
Nominations Open on 01 June – 30 June. Nominee Announcement will take place on 15 August. Public Voting from 01 October – 31 October. Judging Period will be from 01-30 November Awards Ceremony will held on the 05 December 2025.
New board members introduced are Ralph Makhanya, Berlina Lekgethwane, Gili Ramalekana, Mabu Molefi, Brenda Ramokopelwa, Dr Koketso Rakhudu and Gaisang Mogale.
